  1. Gents,

A quick question - a friend of mine was visiting London for the first time and she asked me why the guards at Buck Palace were wearing berets and not the famous bearskins...?

My only answer (not knowing much about these things) is that the soldiers probably weren't guards and were another regiment tasked with the duty.

    1) is this correct?
    2) how would I find out what regiment it was, back at the end of May?

    Cheers in advance!

  2. They would not have been from the Household Div would be my first suggestion.

    Just a thought.

  3. Wow, didn't realise they were rotated on a daily basis. I expected a regiment to be tasked for a few weeks or so!

Therefore an exact date is needed - I am looking for who was Buck Palace guard on May 26th 2010.

    Cheers again.
