I had fun reading some of the Daily Wail comments on this news item.

But I saw some footage the other day of HM - and she was looking rather frail, understandably at 91!

This has wheels and a basket for the wreath. One could also add a bottle of whisky, just to keep out the chill.

Her hubby retired at 90 odd, will that be the norn soon?

She won't retire... she's aiming to be the first monarch to send herself a birthday card at 100.

Not for us commoners. You'll be lucky to reach 90, you'll be worked into an early grave sometime in your early 80's.

If you can guarantee me another decade and a bit then I would be well chuffed!

Sorry off topic.

As usual Zero Alpha and I walked the long route to Sainsbury (about 3 miles round instead of about 1½ miles round on the direct).

Halfway up the hill we caught up with a little old lady. "I've walked from home near the golf course (a couple of miles). I'm nearly 90 years old. Going to the library (best part of another mile). Got a bit of sciatica and I'm walking it off. I'll probably get the taxi back."

Respect to her. I hope she gets her telegram. Most of the middle aged around here are on fúcking mobility scooters. The rest of the people we see walk dogs.

I was at Warwick auctions yesterday when a hardly used motability scooter went for 50 Quid! surely a ramp wouldnt cost that much either. Maybe some gold tassels and a bit of bling and a royal crest on the side perhaps? There are plenty of folks on scooters attending every year anyway?

Like the fat twats in the US, sorry not allowed to call them fat, gravitationally challenged. Anyway, they roll around on their dalek chairs so that they get even fatter. The supermarkets and shopping centres have free dalek chairs for those who do not want to unload, or bring theirs with them so that they can roll around buying even more food.

Back on track: Ma'am has done a fine job over the years and will continue to be a damn fine monarch for many more even though age is restricting her a tad nowadays.

My great granny died when she was 103 and was doing her own shopping once a week after her 100th birthday. Both my parents (Mum, 85 and Dad, 79) walk two miles into their nearest town regularly and Mum was back on her bike within a month of having a hip replacement!
