    Babcocks wish to appoint a Deputy Site Operations Manager, reporting into the Site Operations Manager. The key accountabilities of the job holder are as follows:



    · Manage the day to day service areas across the Stores, MT and Workshop functions.

    · Assist the Site Operations Manager with day to day running of the site to provide a professional service in line with the RSME contract.

    · Monitor all service requests and availability issues across the RSME Service areas, ensuring that departmental ownership is maintained, ensuring that all services delivery requests and KPI’s are met.

    · Lead on all aspects of an Equipment Care and Maintenance across the RSME, liaising with other departments to ensure that they comply with current military regulations. Ensure full compliance with all military regulations and lead on all ECI/LSI.

    · Act as Duty Manager as and when required.

    · Carry out regular H&S Walk-Around Checks and report on findings including putting forward positive solutions.

    · Responsible for the implementation and management of all H&S issues for operations staff.

    · Aid in the monitoring and proactive control of Safe Working Systems to ensure safe working at all times and to promote a positive safe working culture.



    Applicants must be able to demonstrate the following:



    Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience

    · Technical Quartermaster qualification or military equivalent is essential.

    · Proven track record of working within a busy customer focused organization

    · Experience of managing a multi skilled team.

    · Unit Equipment Care Managers Course (desirable)

    · Experience of leading unit preparation for ECI & LSI (this is fundamental for this role).

    · Knowledge of Unicom or Military in house computer packages.

    · Ability to work under pressure in an ever changing environment.

    · Computer literate including Microsoft Packages.

    · Ability to use own initiative and to organise and prioritise actions.

    · Ability to influence both internal and external customers.

    · Ability to lead a results-focused and customer facing team.
