All the RN(MH) in the field hospitals were told they had to up sticks and move to their nearest med regt. Many of them have been pretty canny and found cunning ways to stay put. Easiest for those who are dual-qualified. They can just pull their RGN ace from their sleeve and move across to a general nurse PID.
225 at Stirling will definitely have a PID for a Maj and we are crying out for an experienced QA MH officer, as we have too many OF RGNs and the SNO hasn’t(I’m sorry to say) a first rate clue about MH. And with global manning you should be able to manipulate “staying” where you are
for Wednesdays, but attending for WE and camp with 225?
Coming back to my last question about our Allies, I found the American nurses at R3 still to be a bit “handmaideny” to their Drs and I’d probably go as far to say our specialist “branch” training gives us an edge over them that way.
