Q about medical

  1. I'm joining as a dento, just my medical to go. Do I need to worry about having a nickel allergy? Would that preclude my entry? It's not too bad, more of an inconvenience when it comes to buttons & that sort of thing but some medical devices (like GA masks) have nickel in them. Ta

    But seriously on the subject of Nickel in anaesthetics, it may have been used in circuits or sensors many years ago (Ive been working in gas rooms since 1986 and cant say that Ive come across it) but you may find it in the batteries in the laryngoscopes (rechargeable Nickel Cadmium or Nicad batteries).
