I didn't know Jon Voight,Ned wasis face and Burt Reynolds were English

Well well you learn something new every day thanks for that

I suppose the septics proceeded to bore them to death with such notable chit chat as

"We saved your ass in WW2"
"Im an Oi-rish / Eye-talian American"*
"Inside every Eye-raki is an American trying to get out"

Delete as appropriate

Thank you. I'd add that they've inherented the gene that makes the English inherently good dancers as well (as proof go to 2:57 in the video) .

Eye-talian American
My associates and I would like to have a word with you Ian, Trevor, Colin or whatever your name is.

I thought most redneck types were descended from Scots-Irish?

Besides the English that went to the Americas were either the rejected dregs of society (often forcibly deported) or religious fanatics. Qualities that they seem to have retained.

It's the same with the Dutch. The only reason they're so cool and laid back now is that 300 years ago they exported all their crazies to South Africa :D

Is there a difference?

Actually I think they are a combination of Scots-Irish (Ulster Scots), English, Scottish and dash of Irish and Welsh.

Bah, they're Sicilians not Italians. Unlike the Scottish and English there is a difference.
Comportano! Mia madre è un mezzo Siciliano!

Questi paisán sono anche!

My associates and I ...

It was in the Sopranos that Italians stated that Italian Americans were even more classless and cheap than the Germans

Don't forget that the cloggies founded New Amsterdam until we took it off them and renamed it New York. Additionally Gibraltar was stormed by Dutch and British Marines. Probably the greatest American president of the 20th century was one of the NY Dutch aristocracy.

Not Tony, his family is from Campagnia (Avellino).

Out of respect for your sainted mother I won't post the appropriate YouTube excerpt from "True Romance" on Sicilian heritage!

And you're a cantaloupe! :D

All I've got to say on that subject is that Hannibal's army raped and pillaged their way through the mainland and that the Moors were Arabs and not "niggers" although I can see how such a distinction could be lost on the average American.

You are right though, many Sicilians don't really consider themselves Italian as such. Hell even the language is so different!

Dennis Hopper and Christopher Walken -- Fantastic scene.

That's James Gandolfini (Tony Soprano, then with more hair) cutting Hopper's hand.
