Project Leader/Managing Director (des) Bristol Negotiable base salary with exceptional opportunities to earn significant bonuses and in due course directorship and equity in the business Retained exclusively by our client, an investment company, we seek to identify an exceptional Project Manager to be appointed into a new small electrical engineering company which is expected to grow rapidly over the next 3 years through the market development of an innovative and patented electrical product that will revolutionise diagnostic testing of electrical installations. Once proven during the build-up stage, the successful Project Manager can expect to be appointed as the Managing Director of the business. You will have current and sufficiently technical knowledge of engineering and relevant commercial experience to be able to drive this nascent business forward. You will be expected to add value to the further development of the product and play the lead role in taking the product to market, sourcing and managing relationships with manufacturers, winning new customers and managing key clients and managing the development of a pan-UK market with a view on expansion into overseas markets. For us to be able to consider you as a credible candidate you will have/be: * Experience of leading a successful business (or division) in an engineering field * Substantial commercial (incl P&L) experience in running profitable revenue streams * Gravitas to converse and build relationships at a senior level * Experience of managing external product design and manufacturing relationships. * Experience of launching UK products in to overseas markets * Excellent knowledge of electrical testing (requirement and marketplace) * Highly organised and efficient, with the ability to multi task * Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and IT). * Excellent interpersonal skills with a good sense of humour and the ability to work in a small team. * Proactive with the ability to work on own initiative, think "outside the box" and maintain currency of knowledge. * Trustworthy and diligent with high level of integrity. * Methodical and meticulous - high attention to detail. * Flexible can adapt to changing work priorities at short notice, take on the idea of others and adapt own way of thinking. * Prepared to go the extra mile and make a personal commitment (even sacrifice) to deliver this exciting and potentially very rewarding challenge.
