Pro Boot Care and White Marks

Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. To polish or not to polish?

And does anyone know why my new Pro Boos keep getting white marks on them (salt from sweat?) and how to stop it?

Cheers for any help for my dumb questions!!!
  2. plenty of talc in the lining, if it is sweat, will hopefuly soak before it starts to seep through.
  3. Pro Boots are Goretex and fabric lined so no need for talc.

Wash the salt off with water and then polish or use a black leather waterproofing treatment or cream when they are dry.
  4. The reason the salt/sweat comes through is becuase that is what the gore-tex is designed to do - remove sweat from inside of the boot. It has to go somewhere! As already said, just wipe off and re-polish.
