Look at the front page, leaders wives, I refer m' learned chumps to current threads, inside on page 2 snatch and all that drama.
Also on the same page "Get some PaX/paki/whatever you believe.
Finally page 22 Gordo the tw@t gets a showing!

Have you seen the 'From the Messagboards' section? I'm convinced that the bloke who writes it gets his material from Arrse...

I do wonder whether 'Squarebasher' posts on Arrse.

Great publication. I get it delivered in South Africa - it's one of those rapidly dwindling pieces of Britishness that lifts the spirits when one is overseas.

I still think that Private Eye was better when Ingrams was the editor; that man really knew how to hate

Oh please. That front cover, Leaders Wives, had me laughing and wincing in equal measure.

Private Eye IS the outrage bus. If the outrage bus was printed on cheap paper and had a Lonely Hearts section.

Still waiting for the latest Eye - takes a while to get to the Cape of Storms.

Found the answer to my earlier thought by using the search function - Fire up the outrage bus over the fact that I don't do so before every post!

The magazine has provided a useful legal euphemism:

We refer you to the reply given in the case of Arkell v. Pressdram.
I welcome the day that I get to use that reply. :D

The Outrage Bus is currently out of commission due to necessary cut backs. See your Memo's passim. In the interim, alternative transport has been provided. If you have a ticket to operate the Supercharged Series IIa please contact my PA, Hortense who will make arrangements.

The Eye is a fine organ. "In The Back" often has some useful insight into the workings of the Defence Industry and the idiots in the MoD. The Metrix Contract and Annington Homes are regulars...

Had never heard of that one, googled it, absolutely brilliant.

Didn't the Eye also bring the phrase "tired and emotional" into service as a euphemism for drunk? This followed an alcoholic MP giving a rather slurred interview after the death of JFK, and his press office later blaming it on him being T&E.

I always rely on it for details of the forthcoming St. Cake's term. But then again, I'm often tired and emotional.
