Previously unseen photos from WW1


Can't find a better place to put this so apologies in advance.

Whilst I was aware of the "iron harvest", the continuing legacy of the Great War, I had presumed that the French had reclaimed all the battlefields and were back to business as usual, with farming and tourism.

I was not aware of this "Zone Rouge" where nothing grows and is still too dangerous to enter. Some poignant photos here
