The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. The usual advice for weight training is to rest muscles the day after training, e.g. by not going to the gym on consecutive days, or by doing a split routine.

    However, there are a lot of posts in ARRSE recommending press ups every day, to get better at them.

    Is there a reason why press ups can be done every day, but not bench presses? Is the mentioned advice re press ups wrong?
