Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. This is in BBC News
    BBC News Link

Are they right, Psychobabble or others of that ilk, any thoughts?

  2. PTSD cannot be diagnosed that simply IMHO. there is no set symptoms, no set time scale of any onset.

I think everyone who has been in a "war zone" is going to be affected somehow, not always PTSD.

I know a few people who display no outward signs of any type of mental health issues until years after the events, but they suffer all the same.

Setting up a dedicated PTSD clinics etc. might be viable, but who do you restrict at getting access to them?

would there be a time scale of leaving the forces?

what about civilians, too many questions that are not answered IMO.

Maybe just too difficult to set up in the 1st place, who knows.
