Police believe the women have been killed by the Taliban; however, the killing has not been exactly determined.

Security officials have found out that one of the women was a police officer and the other was a school headmistress in Terrinkot city.
A local security official in Oruzgan said, “According to police investigations these women have been first strangled with a rope and then they were fired squad.”

The official added that due to Taliban fear, the families of the victims had not reported about the missing members.
