A good trade to go for, good civvy qualifications. Just to let you know that they are merging design draughtmans and draughtsman electrical and mechanical at class 2 level with the option to specialise at class one. I believe you get an HNC in building studies at class on DD level, I don't know about E and M. Depends what floats your boat. Depending on where you get posted denpends on if you will actually be doing your trade or not. If you manage to get to Chilwell or a Construction Supervision Cell in a regiment you are sorted, if you don't you will end up in a field section or as a lot of drafties do in sigs troop. Make sure you are fit before you go and do your B3 combat engineer course becuase it is quite physically demanding at times. Good luck.
