Resistance Captures US General In Ramadi; Another US Marine Dies

In the latest news in Iraq, resistance fighters have captured a US general in Ramadi. The Americans went ballistic with this news and closed all roads in and out of the city. Heavy fighting is currently underway.

It appears something major is breaking in the city. Details are just coming in and information is limited as of press time. More details are to come as they are available, inshaAllah.
Have used JihadUnspun.com quite a bit in the past and their info is normally not bad, though have not seen anything about this on the rest of the web. Could be a bad afternoon for Ramadi if it's true of course...

RAMADI, Iraq, Aug 4 (AFP) - US forces arrested an Iraqi police colonel overnight and searched a police station in the flashpoint city of Ramadi, west of Baghdad, police sources said Wednesday.

"An American unit went to the home of Colonel Imad Suleiman Falah at 2:30 am (2230 GMT) and arrested him without explanation," said policeman Ziya Hadi.

US soldiers also searched the al-Faruq police station in the centre of Ramadi for more than three hours, Hadi said.

A US military spokesman in Baghdad had no information about the reports.

Ramadi is the main city in the volatile Al-Anbar province, where US forces have come under repeated attack since Saddam Hussein fell from power to invading coalition forces in April 2003.

The septics have also suroounded Moqtada Al Sadr's gaff and this has kicked off a few firefights and stand offs

Looks like vampire's friends from the Jihad got it slightly wrong.
