PORNO TO BE BANNED

BBC said:
A bill outlawing the possession of "extreme pornography" is set to become law next week. But many fear it has been rushed through and will criminalise innocent people with a harmless taste for unconventional sex.

Five years ago Jane Longhurst, a teacher from Brighton, was murdered. It later emerged her killer had been compulsively accessing websites such as Club Dead and Rape Action, which contained images of women being abused and violated.

When Graham Coutts was jailed for life Jane Longhurst's mother, Liz, began a campaign to ban the possession of such images.

Supported by her local MP, Martin Salter, she found a listening ear in then home secretary, David Blunkett, who agreed to introduce legislation to ban the possession of "violent and extreme pornography".

This was eventually included in the Criminal Justice and Immigration Bill, which gets its final reading this week and will get Royal Assent on 8 May.

WHAT IS EXTREME PORNOGRAPHY?

As defined by the new Criminal Justice Bill:

An act which threatens or appears to threaten a person's life
An act which results in or appears to result in serious injury to a person's anus, breasts or genitals
An act which involves or appears to involve sexual interference with a human corpse
A person performing or appearing to perform an act of intercourse or oral sex with an animal.
I'm OUTRAGED. What am I going to do on a wet Sunday afternoon? Sure, psychopaths may live out their fantasies through fringe pornography, and when they attack innocent people, the results are tragic. But watching this kind of material won't turn me into a violent, dangerous sex-maniac - you can blame CTCRM for that. Banning violent/necrophliac/animal porn will mainly hurt innocent perverts like me, who will be criminalised. :x

Who's going to come protest with me at Westminster on May 8th? I can get T-shirts printed:

"DON'T BANIMAL PORN"

Let's get some political activism going, and this time for a worthy cause.

Blunkett. How the hell would he know anything about porn. Typical Liarbor knee jerk laws with little or no thought applied.

One of the criteria:

An act which threatens or appears to threaten a person's life

So thats all "action" and horror films banned then, not just porn!

Look on the bright side, with yet another crap law pass we may soon see the headlines:

All military operations cancelled following the arrest of 100,000 servicemen on porn charges

Cub Scouts to carry out trooping of the colour following the arrest of the household division...........

This is a fundamental change to existing laws. Previously it was illegal to sell but not posess. Now it is illegal to posses.

It is massively flawed and a result of nanny knows best thinking. One of the Law Lords hit the nail on the head when he said that a person cannot be prosecuted for actualy indulging in some of these acts but can be for taking a photo of it.

The bottom of the barrel comes when describing the word 'appears to' so thats basically telling you that even if you have something that is 'pretend' you are just as guilty as of it was the real thing. Thats acting fcuked then, what are the thespians going to do now. Thats like saying that if I have a photo of someone climbing over a fence in a stripey jumper I am basically guilty of being a burglar.

Ridiculous and woolly headed thinking

It's all a load of bolloxks. People have been fannying around the porn laws for years.

They coxked it up in 1956 by introducing the Sexual Offences Act.

Who gives a fcuk ?

its naughty. naughty things just go underground.

must say tho i'm not so keen on the amount of anal etc in some instructional sex documentaries these days. seems to be in almost every documentary you see.
Its because some people are neglecting to keep their skills current.

Got to keep in 'date.'

They thought they had given him some, but it turned out to be a cheese grater he had. That's why he thought it was violent.
