poller.exe virus

Gettingloads of virus warnins off this site , of course it could be my avg detecting it from somewhere else

Anyone else complained of this ?

Not with you. There are no pop-ups except the PMs nor any sort of dodgy auto-download software, script or anything on here. What happens exactly?

My avg picks it up when I'm in the forums being happening since yesterday

I'll find out exactly what poller.exe is then get back to you

I've found reference to this being caused by the Aurora virus, but can't find that listed on symantec or grisoft's sites. I'd be very surprised if it's anything to do with us as I also run AVG and have had no problems in either IE or Firefox. Wierd it only happens on here though.

i get it as well, when i had IT look at it it turned out to be spyware and things that i'd downloaded and not really read fully....... that plus a few mega bites of teenagers porn! :?

they re-thingamymagigged back to a previous date and ran some of their magic spyware death rays. all better now!

Polar - Do you use Ad-Aware and SpyBot Search and Destroy? They are both free, very fast and are regularly updated. This should eliminate any problems you are experiencing with spyware.
