  1. From "Police launch Channel Islands child abuse inquiry"

Worrying, the bit about the Jersey Sea Cadets. Hope this isn't about to become an awful story for those involved in working with cadets.
  2. I wonder how much of it is down to the Guernsey Press Shi-tstirring though - it's been ridiculous over the past few weeks - sunk lower than the Daily Hate on a few occasions, calling for 'name, photo and shame' - One step away from having petrol bombs through the windows of pediatrists and pediatricians - basically baying for blood and asking for power over life and death of a man. It is horrific, it is vile and reprehensible, and the people responsible should be removed froim this earth - but by the relevant bodies and with the relevant paperwork squared away. It is of course a very emotive subject, and the GP certainly has been on the point of stirring an angry mob and regressing our society by a millenia. Justice should be administered by the people with the minds and the appointment to act responsibly, and bear the resonsibility of those actions - not by a pi55ed up mob collected from the Jamaica/Mariners/insert pub here.

Ref the cadets - I certainly hope not - things are difficult enough already for them.
