I understand that things got dialled back a bit after all the g20 fun or something like that.
Out of interest,if an officer doesn't come up to scratch during probation, what happens next?Just a comment on the subject of women police officers; As I first joined, we still had a WPCs department, which meant that they had certain specified duties but did not patrol. That changed and WPCs became part of a patrol section. I worked with some blinders. Hard working, hard fighting lasses. In contrast, I had a probationer assigned to me who was ex RN. First patrol with him, he told me he didn't like working in the dark, was afraid of vagrants ( of which we had many) and hoped he would always have another bloke with him. He didn't finish his probation. I can't complain about any of the WPCs who I worked with, all excellent coppers.
I was thinking of the student riots and Tottenham, they are still reasonably fresh in peoples memories. I remember Toxteth and Moss Side though, cops using bin lids as shields etc.
I'd imagine it was deemed acceptable under Blairs government to batter the crap out of traditional Tory voters though...
For accuracy.I'd imagine it was deemed acceptable under Blairs government to batter the crap out of what many assume are traditional Tory voters though...
There is an Unsatisfactory Performance Process (UPP) to follow in order to seek their dismissal. During probation, it is relatively easy for The Chief to dismiss them.Out of interest,if an officer doesn't come up to scratch during probation, what happens next?
On the one hand you have individual officers showing great courage and on the other hand there are the show-off officers who would really rather be celebs. This one seems to have taken it to the next level.
A Metropolitan Police Officer who appeared on the Nigerian version of Big Brother hit back at her bosses today stating she is a "proud black woman" who prides herself in her work. The 29-year-old, who joined the force as a Pc in 2015, was filmed in steamy on-screen romps with fellow contestant...www.standard.co.uk
How will the Met handle this, I wonder?
I was on the first countryside alliance march being a farmers son myself but thankfully there was a lot less trouble than the second one. I do remember a load of swampy looking types launching full cans and plastic bottles at us at one point but nobody responded other than shouting a bit of abuse back. For accuracy.
Urban socialists are often unable to comprehend nuances, so to that type of mind, living in the countryside generally equates to being a rich Tory landowner.
