The brave soldier who saved the life of a Polish pizza delivery man in the Real IRA attack on Massereene barracks is to be honoured by Poland's president.

Twenty-one-year-old Marc Fitzpatrick will be invited to Poland to collect the award from Polish President Lech Kaczynski.

As the gunmen sprayed the area, Sapper Fitzpatrick dived into one of the pizza delivery cars and pulled the Pole, known only as Marcin, and the driver, Anthony Watson, into the footwell - almost certainly saving their lives.

  2. Good drills that man.
