That is the problem with having an over long and difficult officer training process, and then the problems of too many continuation training courses.
MK1 and MK2 are terrible you know. Badly thought out, badly designed, inappropriate for the TA officer. Mentoring is just not possible within the TA structure.
Don't get me started on the G1 and admin burden imposed on TA officers - it is just impossible, and we should have civvy or NRPS staff to ease the burden. No wonder the young ones don't want to join as officers.
As for the constant pressure of operational deployments placed upon those who are just starting out in their civillian careers, well, it will be the death of the TA officer class, and the TA will just be regular army staffed training establishment for private soldiers.
