  1. Sitting in the garden this morning, directly under the flight path to Calgary airport, when I heard the most remarkable sound. On looking up, very pleased to see a Lancaster at around 400 feet coming in on final approach. Beautiful aeroplane, with a totally unforgetable sound! Will toddle along tomorrow for a look. Was down at Nanton last year when they pulled their restoration Lancaster out to the side of the road and fired up 2 of the 4 rebuilt Merlins. Fortunate enough to see a flying Heinkel 111 and B 17 about 6 years ago here in Calgary, and lucky enough to get a couple of flights in this in 2008 after my Boss got new props.
