Activision, Infinity Ward, GAME and Xbox LIVE have teamed-up to promote a charitable initiative in support of War Child. Known as Game for Good, Xbox LIVE gamers who log-on to play the phenomenally successful Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will not only be entering one of the most aggressive playing fields in modern videogaming, but will also be aiding the charity. The initiative in support of War Child will be taking place during the weekend of the December 5th and 6th 2009, the forthcoming Xbox LIVE Xtival event wherein Xbox LIVE Gold Membership is free to all with their system connected to the service â allowing for the maximum number of participants. Should over 600,000 UK users log on to play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, a donation will be made to War Child of Â£150,000. Further to this, an additional Â£25,000 will be donated for every 100,000 users after that, up to a maximum of Â£250,000. GAME stores will also be sellingWar Child wrist bands in-store.
