A bit curious I know, but can anyone direct me to some plastic pickelhaube helmets?
The sort of thing a competent designer or sculptor (or a design or sculpture student if price is an issue) could make for you given the correct specs?
Otherwise these are the only plastic pickelhaubes I've ever seen ;
Munster, Germany - 2 x joke shops in town sell them for 15 euros. Good for mess fancy dress nights in conjunction with faux leather trenchcoat from same shop...
Just out of interest, just been watching Flog It on BBC 2. A woman had found an original Pickelhaube in a wardrobe while clearing her recently deceased father's house. The experts couldn't agree an estimate, the best they could guess was £200-300, it went for £820 in the auction.
Battle orders (aka walts central ) is down the road from me, pm me if you want one?
If you PM Poppy, she'll help you out She's a bit of an expert on 1st World War German Army head dress.
