Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Does anybody know if old 'passing out' photos from basic training are recorded or negatives are stored anywhere?

In my haste to get out of the Army Apprentices College in 99c I missed the oppertunity to buy my plt photo, I believe there were also videos made too?

If anyone has details of the company or photographer that the college used at around this time, I would be most greatful
  2. Is this the REME passing out parade you meant?

  3. And another one?

  4. Nope that'll be the trials and developement unit just before recommending the Army introduces a new piece of kit, that they promise is Squaddie friendly - Honk Honk!!!

  5. T2, you could try contacting 'achives' in the REME Museum, Arborfield. I think they've got their website.
  6. T2,

The REME Museum has loads of old photos and most of them have been sorted in to intake dates......I managed to get a few old photos for a colleagues 22 year dine out..
