Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Does anyone know if you can wear non issue boots at phase 2 (Bordon), or do you have to wait till you get your unit.

  2. HAHAHAHAHAHA do u think your special sweetlips?

  3. I doubt sweet_lips thinks they are special, they probably don't get on with the issue boots and therefore want to know when they can start wearing their own boots.

Is their a medical reason for wanting to wear your own boots, or is it simply to look ally? ;)

  4. Best bet is to wear ur issue boots to start and ask when you get there?

  5. Phase 2 is purely issue tissue through out all the training establishments. This is due to health and safety. If you jump over a 6ft wall on an assault course, for example, and snap your ankle and get med discharge, you are not covered to sue cos you were wearing none issue clothing.
So its not advisable leave it till you get to you unit!!!

  6. The way recruits are getting treated these days, Id say yeah.
