Peterborough model show 03/03/19

Some photos of the show. One of the best I have been to for some time. Will post pics over a few evenings. Apologies if some are a bit naff, my phone struggles to focus sometimes.

Really liked a few there, the Catalina I assume is a BOAC paint job. The US marked Beaufighter, a different choice. Lastly that M3 Stuart with the Jerry's on, very nice.
Two more, that LRDG/SAS diorama excellent, that Space 1999 Luner transport nicely weathered.

Edit.... The Catalina is a Quantas aircraft. Doh!

More to come!!

That pic of the LRDG group, pretty sure I read that build on Britmodeler, those rocks are awesome looking.
(so are the vehicles btw)

Errrr, umm, nooo.

I thought it was a Lanchester, but obviously got that wrong!

The detail on it is amazing. Its spot on. For instance the tarps on it look real. The base is a work of art too.

The rock on that looks a lot like that concrete trick of my Father's. The vehicle's are superb, are they the old Tamiya models. Just love that tarp, down to the eyes. SWMBO was even impressed.

Just shows that the old Tamiya kits still make great models. You dont need the modern PE stuff and all that jazz to build something amazing.
