PENSIONS ON DIVORCE - ARE THEY OVERVALUED?

Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Eligible for an Immediate Pension, my Pension on Divorce statement is quite clear that the CEV is overvalued. It doesn't say why: It doesn't say by how much.

Can anyone shed any light on this, or point me in the direction of some one who does.

  2. You have 2 valuations - one is based on you serving to maximum length of service, the other on you leaving immediately. The second one is higher because you will draw your pension for longer

I recommend that you find a solicitor specialising in the financial aspects of divorce

  3. STS
Thanks for the details and advice, I've got one.
But being a cautoius chap I like to have a bit of independant background before I deal with professionals.
    Cheers
