Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. This boils my piss.

I've sold stuff on eBay and there seems to be no way I can not accept PayPal. Can eBay really insist that I use it? Can I accept PayPal on the proviso that the buyer pays my fees?

  2. the contract with ebay is that you can not add ebay fee's onto your price. just do what everyone else does and increase your start price or post and packing to cover it.
  3. Never used Paypal as such, so never paid the fees, I let the bids go on, contact buyer and ask them to pick said item with cash, especially as everything I've ever sold would need a couple of posties to pick them up ^^

I've just sold a couple of bits on eBay and yes, you HAVE to tick the PayPal option, no way round it. However, you simply put your own terms in the listing, cash, BACs or whatever as the payee does not have to pay using PayPal. Does that make sense?
