Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. my unit has this starting soon & i am led to believe that there will be no reduction for the over 37's package.

is this correct, does anyone know ????

    thank you.

    laters.

  2. You will be no worse off under PAYD.

You currently pay £2.68 @ day for food (7 days a week = £ £18.76) whereas as single living in pays £3.66 ' day (7 days a week = £25.62) It is assumed MUA soldiers go home at weekends.

Under PAYD you can feed 3 meals a day for £3.66 (99p for Breakfast, £1.17 for lunch & £1.50 for dinner), therefore if you go home at weekends (probably Fri lunchtime until Mon lunchtime!) 5 x days feeding at £3.66 = £18.30

  3. cheers.

    as always informative & helpful.

if only the REAL army worked like this, eh :? :? :? :?
