passing out parade

i passed out on friday 21st march and it was one off the proudest things iv ever done, the cmsr wasnt that hard tbh, and well up to the 'older' guys did at basic, are basic was **** all....

start at deepcut on sunday!!!!!

I passed out on Friday night after a shed load of brewski's, not the same as passing out on a passing out parade many moons ago.

I passed out in 58 Hadrians Camp Carlisle.
11th hussars were the training regiment then.

Iron, I am not sure of the history of the Army beret but during the WW11

the lads wore a khaki beret which was changed to black sometime in the

late forties early fifties. When first issued they were huge and a squad of

sprogs would always look like a rabble of French onion sellers. Used to

take several shrinking sessions to get them half decent. The officers, of

course, not wishing to look like prats, kept theis caps........but I see that

now you guys have those snug little numbers they too have taken to the

beret.

Anyway, we are not supposed to be discussing fashion but bigging up

the youngsters that have just passed out. Good on you fellas. :D :D
