Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Compensate Lee Clegg!
  2. Thats pathetic! How can convicted murderers and sex offenders recieve compensation for things like not being able to have hardcore porn in their cells whilst a soldier who was (thankfully wrongly) convicted simply because he felt his and others lives were in danger recieve nothing!

It is pleasing to see though that the promotions board has seen common sense and not held him back because of it!
  3. Awaiting incoming from this but what the heck

Thats situation normal for a Para isn't it
  4. Agreed. The Feinian 'not as innocent as they think they are' scum got compensated so why not him.
  5. Nah, 'bitter and twisted' are the approved G10 words for expressing emotions, 'angry and confused' are the weasel words of the tabloid media

  7. Nice wig.

Not sure about the piccy on the left though.
  8. This comes as no surprise. BBC NI gave lots of airtime in the past week to various Republicans spouting about Bobby Sands and how the British had criminalised Catholics and Republicans (well, yes - they were terroristsm which is criminal); there was no rebuttal or explanation other than one interview with a retired unionist politician who kept getting interrupted. Bliar's government are allowing history to be rewritten.
  9. The Guildford Four were innocent and deserved the cash. Lee Clegg likewise. I hope he wins the appeal
  10. Clegg will need the likes of Michael Mansfield QC.
  11. Possibly, but will he be able to bring himself to stoop so low?
  12. Who, Mansfield or Clegg?
  13. You shouldn't believe everything you read in the papers.
  14. Fair comment. They must have made it up.
