This topic has been done to death so I suggest 3 options:

1. Vist the Royal Marine website
2. Visit the Para website (via the Army site)
3. MAKE YOUR OWN MIND UP!

We know both are elite and both are hard to get into etc but it really is down to you. I'd imagine both experiances are the same becuase of this.

But eh? What do I know......

In the Infantry forum we have

para's or marines
Grenadier Guards or Paras
[ Poll ] Paratrooper or royal marines

and in Joining Up (Regular)

paras or royal anglians
para 2 or para 3?

All in the last 2 days, I think. 8O

Mostly the same users as well.

Well, as much as it pisses everyone off, remember - the only stupid question is the one you don't ask.
Quite correct but shouldn't you ask the right people and make your own mind up?
What if the Marines don't want him?
What if we all vote none of the above?
Chances are an Army website will go for the Army ask on RR and they will say marines

Do you really want to base your career and possibly the next few years of your life on what a bunch of internet jokers say?
If your due to go in after xmas haven't you left it a bit late?

**** me what next should I put my left boot or right boot on?

You mean "The only stupid question is the one that's already been addressed, repeatedly, in multiple threads. Some of which are clearly visible on the first page of the infantry forum".
