Paramedic Roles x 4 - Reading / Basingstoke area

A fantastic opportunity is available for four Paramedics, we are looking for former combat medics or similar qualifications to work on a new contract. You will be employed by Team Prevent UK.

Details around the contract can be discussed at recruitment, as the role involves working on one of the UK's highest security sites, information will be limited at this point.

Working hours are 0745 - 1730 over a 9 day fortnight on site one and 0600 - 1430 &1430 - 2300 Mon - Fri on site two. Staff will be required to work across both sites and will be on a rota/shift system with 3 other members of the team to cover all operational hours.

A mandatory requirement of the role will be contributing to the "Out of hours on call rota" which will be typically require being on-call 1 in 4 weeks during the year. Whilst on call you must be available and contactable at all times and within a 40 minute drive of the sites.

Salary £28k - £35k per annum depending on experience + 10% on call/shift allowance

Candidates must be available to attend a specialised Nuclear response training course hosted in the USA in March 2020. All expenses paid by Team Prevent UK.

Overtime and additional hours will also be available, whilst overtime is non-mandatory all staff in the team are expected to offer or contribute to this requirement as and when requested by the site. Overtime is paid at 1.5x standard agreed salary.

Because the role involves working on one of the UK's highest security sites, to apply you will need to be a British National and have resided in the UK for the past 10 years.

Successful candidates will need Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance. Security clearance is carried out by UKSV - an independent organisation. Depending on your role, clearance can take 2-6 months. More information about this level of clearance and what is involved can be found at
