Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. But will they be flying the F16s (if they are delivered that is  )

  2. Wait 20 years and we may know :(

  3. Don't be sad - Whats that plane that the Pakistanis are developing with the Chinese?

  4. The JF-17 is the plane which Pakistan has co-developed with China - it should be better than the current f-16's Pakistan has and will also have BVR. This low cost fighter should replace the ageing F-7's and Mirage IIIs in the PAF. As far as new F-16's go, there seems to be some hesitation about buying brand new fighters, understandable in the light of previous sanctions. What seems to be the most probable course of action is Pakistan using US military aid to buy second hand F-16's from Europe to bolster the original Pakistani fleets. The Chinese J-10 is looking a more likely option for the high tech fighter. Eurofighter/Rafale have also been mentioned, but these are very expensive.

  6. But the Indians and the Russians are working on the Su - 37? aren't they?
