Pain in left foots arch

Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. I am getting a sharp pain in my left foots arch when I run. When I start running it is fine however near the end of the run I start to get the pain. It feels like a muscle is being pulled across the arch, does anyone have any idea why it might be happening?

  2. Might have something to do with the support (lack of) in your trainers.

What brand of trainers do you have????

  3. This shouldn't happen, even without correct support in the trainers. Get this checked out ASAP, Briton!

It might very well be just a pulled or overstrained tendon, or it might be a stress fracture. But the longer you leave it the worse it could become.

  4. but wouldn't a stress fracture occur due to lack of support

  5. Get to the quack asap and tell them what the crack is.

This could be something quite serious and I wouldn't trust us tawts on ARRSE to diagnose you. You don't want to end up crippled and in pain every time you walk do you?

    No, you don't.

Pack an overnight bag, and parade outside the guardroom at 0730... in 2s.

  6. I can never understand why people come on to ARRSE specifically with a medical problem that even an on site Doctor would find difficult to diagnose. See a fcuking Doctor you prat. No, better still, get your foot amputated, your arch will never give you a problem again.
