Having been on the Emerald Isle for a few weeks I've noticed that the natives drive at 45mph what ever the speed limit is. In a 30 zone they drive at 45 but stay at 45 when the national speed limit signs come on.

I find this challenging because my normal form is to drive/ride at the speed limit assuming the road conditions etc make it same to do so. In a 30 zone I've got dozens of cars tail gating me and in a National Speed limit zone I'm getting frustrated that they won't get on with it.

There is less traffic here than is usual on the mainland and the drivers are not generally as aggressive - so maybe its my imagination.
