Fekin hell Joker! Do you rattle when you walk mate?
Forgot to mention, I have to carry a GTN (Glycerin Tri-Nitrate) spray everywhere I go in case my ticker starts playing up.

Reading this thread so far has been humbling, informative and bloody scary.

I was born in 59, age 59. I See the medico once every 2 years just to renew medical clearance for my firearms permit. Last year she sent me for comprehensive checkup and everything was OK. No joints and back issues despite 3+20 in the IDF Paras.
I don't do too much exercise nowadays beyond 15 minute cycle ride to & from work. 184 cm height - 87 kg (was 72 kg until around the age of 45) all the excess seems to be on the abdomen and moobs. I'm pescatarian and a non-smoker. I like a shot of whisky on some evenings and I'm drug-free.
Medication: analgesics for headaches, which I get at least every week or two.

Other half of the past 18 months is 25 years younger than me. Tried the blue and yellow pills in various strengths and didn't find them of much use in action, so to speak. Despite the failure of the pills and the slovenly former RSM to come to attention, the intensity, longevity, frequency and pleasure of sex has been something of a revelation - f*cking amazing tbh.

I suppose it's genes and luck. Old man's 104th birthday is next month and my grandfather lived to 102.
When the old man in his mid '80s went to see an eye specialist in hospital, the specialist called the hospital's IT dept. to find out why his medical files weren't loading. The reason turned out to be that he didn't have anything in his medical file (apart from at his GP's).

BTW This isn't old-fart health-walting - I've embellished nothing. Was just impressed at what people have been contributing and decided to add my bit.
Reading this thread has been very sobering.

I had the PSA blood test recently but this was accompanied by the doctor drawing on a pair of latex gloves with me lying on my side, knees drawn up! She asked me if I wanted someone else in the room for my protection! The power of a tiny female doctor with latex gloves! I declined the audience.
Never mind Auld Yin.....in certain establishments you would have to pay hundreds for that experience;)

56 years old, Type 2 Diabetes and 2 heart attacks under my belt, 2 stents fitted (was lucky there as it should really have been bypass surgery, but due to one of the arteries that would have been attached to being too narrow [naturally, not down to plaque build up], they decided on stents). Have now given up smoking, total diet change (massive decrease in carbs, so very little rice, pasta and spuds :(). Unfortunately, all of this has led to a slight decline in fitness, I used to be able to walk for miles but since my last HA in July, walking more than half mile leads to my calves tightening up and aching, still able to use the exercise bike at home though so not too bad.
Medication taken at the moment for both conditions - Omazeprole, Linagliptin, Metformin (combo with another drug I can't remember the name of), Gliclazide, Ticagrelor, Aspirin, Bisoprolol, Ramipril, Atorvastatin. (drugs in bold are twice a day).
Oh, and my knees are starting to creak and grind as well now!

Like you Joker, my daily medications are as follows, so we must have had similar problems. Those taken twice daily are also in bold.

Aspirin Dispersable (75mg)
Atorvastatin (20mg) (replaced Simvastatin)
Bisoprolol (5mg)
Co-Amilofruse (5/40mg)
Co-Codamol (5/800mg)
Folic Acid (5mg)
Irbersartin (75mg)
Levothyroxine (125mg)
Linagliptin (Trajenta) (5mg)
Metformin (Sukkarto) (500mg) (reduced from 1000mg)
Ranitidene (150mg)

Insulin (40 units)

Forgot to mention Sildenifil (Viagra) 4 x 50mg tablets per month-They don't seem to work!

How come you take Metformin and Insulin, I thought it was normally one or the other

Do they give you both if your diabetes gets really bad ????

Apologies for thread overlap on the subject of targeting flabby areas. Long story short - I've lost quite a bit of weight over the last year, but whilst my bulbous buttocks which would have been the envy of a Kalahari bushman have shrunk, the counterweight rolls of lard on the front show no sign of ******* off any time shortly,

I have , of course, taken on board the sensible advice that one cannot target specific areas, but why would my buttocks shrink away whilst the front palaver is still hanging around (literally) ?

If you're tummy won't shrink, could be loads of things

If you have irregular periods and/or bleed for longer and more often than would be considered normal get you GP to send you to an endo specialist for an endometriosis test

Worth a shot anyway

It's fat.

That ship sailed into the west a long time ago!

I went semi-retired at 55, gained 2 stone and had to go on Ramipril, atvorstatin and indapamide for blood pressure issues. I was seeing a hygienist every 3 months for gum issues (all my own teeth though), and my hands had started seizing up with rheumatics.
Went back to full time work in engineering in a factory a year ago (at 59 now 60), and have recently started the carnivore diet. I used a pedometer for the first few months and was doing around 15,000-20,000 steps a day for 5 days a week, plus the usual hammering, clattering, heavy lifting and extreme contortions required to reach the parts that cannot be reached (which all mechanics and fitters will recognise as one of the banes of their lives).
Off my meds, lost 2.5 stone (5'7" 12 stone), and feeling generally fitter, sleeping better and the old man is showing a lot of interest in more than just pissing. The hands also seem to have loosened up. Drop of the creature most evenings and a good few pints on a Friday, carbs I know, but some things are just too hard to give up.
I will need to be forced to retire the next time I reckon, there is only so much fishing, gardening, painting and running around after the kids a man can tolerate. I am 20 years older than the guys I work with and I am probably fitter than a good quarter of them.
I do need to give up smoking again though.
The meat eating seems to have tightened up the stool as well which surprised me and I feel awake in the mornings before a shower and two coffee's have kick-started me as used to be the case.
Use it or lose it seems to be my particular issue.
Edited to add; Only seeing the hygienist every 6 months now but that is probably as a result of going in the first place, 50 quid every 3 months was definitely money well spent.

I was made redundant offered "voluntary" early retirement 3½ years ago. Since I'd have been retired at 63 last month anyway and wouldn't have the money in the bank from the redundancy package, I've now forgiven them (but I haven't forgotten).

Today they celebrated 60 years since they bought Hursley from Vickers, so I went for a nose. Everyone had aged a lot more than I have. Phil wasn't much older at all (or he'd already have gone before) but took a package same time I did.

He looked about ten years older, he's got Parkinson's and he couldn't remember my name. Sad to see him like that, but I've lost weight, health has improved (my knees back, etc seem to be in better nick than my RAC peers') and after meeting Phil, I actually feel younger than I did this morning.

Being 60 has its drawbacks and like you I tried the pills. I did some reading around the subject after speaking with a bloke earlier in the year who had testosterone implants as he is mid-50's with a girlfriend in her early 30's.

What my reading threw out is that L'Argnine when taken along with Horny Goat Weed is a reasonable substitute you can drop daily. L'Argnine helps the body produce more Nitric Oxide which is needed for the old Sgt Maj to stand proud. Nitric oxide deficiency is also a factor in bad heart health.

Lets just say that since I have been taking the stuff I have been waking up most mornings playing tents, so I'm not dis-chuffed.

Wallah Ya Fendi thank you for this exceptional piece of intel! May your tents stand high all day and be resilient in the wind!
I can't wait to try it out, where does one obtain L'argnine. Does it entail dealing with ahem .... frogs?
How should one smoke the Horny Goat weed - in a pipe or bong?
Are the substances you mentioned expensive?

Seriously though, the failure of the RSM and various medications, coupled with the extremely good relationship with the new other half, introduced me to a whole new dimension of sex - in which erection and orgasm really don't count for much at all, in fact a lot of things are radically freed up.
Sex sessions now lasts longer than they did when I was 20 - no performance fears, "coming to soon" or pregnancy. I have to use my creativity (and hands etc) to the utmost - sessions usually end with both of us falling down utterly exhausted.
I feel this information is important because of the amount of anxiety we men suffer over the whole subject. Certainly no one told me any of this - I had to find it out on my own.

We blokes need to free ourselves from the tyranny of the penis - there's a whole world of love and sex beyond it.
This stuff ought to be taught as basic life skills.

Just for context - prior to our relationship I had been divorced for 17 years, during which I had no relationships of any kind (except with myself, sometimes).

With you there fellah - shame you just learn all this good stuff when you get older.

L'Argnine and 'the weed' are available from health pill shops. I get my L'Argnine from @mazon and the horney goat weed off the shelf in the vitamin pill section of the supermarket.

To add: When I started taking the supplements it was not instant, it took a few days, it may not work for everyone and it may work to different degree's. My problem is that I take BP tablets which due to their blood pressure lowering effects lower the BP to all parts of the body - the Doc told me as much and offered me blue pill's when he gave me the BP pill's. All I know is I'm happy with the L'Argnine and weed, I take 2 L'A and 3 weed pills daily - not quite normal service but, along with everything else it's all good.

No point teaching it to the young.

a) why should they have the fun?

b) until the brain finally does the thinking instead of the penis, it would be a waste of teaching!

That stuff's dynamite. ;-)

Watch you don't overdo it or you'll have a headache of gargantuan proportions.
