Our next big mobilisation

All this election malarkey has pushed great matters of state out of the headlines and filled them instead with nonsense about one lot promising to spend 39.99% of our money on shoyte rather than 40.01%, and people having babies.

This means that we haven't had "where are we going next?" as a topic for weeks.

So, when Blair gets back in, where are we all off to and when?

Rumour has it that no TA Signals are required....

I suppose it's too much to ask that TA sigs are not required, ever?

Disband the lot and make them re-trade into a decent corp?

Only joking before you start. We need someone to do radio stag because I'm b*ggered if I'm gonna do it!

Yeah, yeah. We had the ARRC thing a while ago.

I was hoping for France. I really was.

The regulars have managed have had the ok to form two more signal regiments recently - so why do you need to TA part?

with the way cuts are going it will have to be local - it's about time Canvey Island got it!

What about strenghtening our grip on Rockall Island?

I think each of the parties should announce a country they intend to invade if they make it to power and then put it to the public/forces to decide where we're going next. Labour could take Iran, Conservatives go for Zim, Lib Dems... Jersey?

Monster raving loony party would probably win hands down as we all decide we want to spend our holidays by invading the Moon or such like.

Democratic Warfare at it's finest.

I think you'll find the Bosch already have contingency plans in place.

Many moons ago I was watching a German comedy programme on RTL* (don't be too shocked - I was young - and confused), in which two German fellas were discussing the "Southern Europe Invasion Plans". Cut to a map of Europe showing big arrows leaving Germany and heading towards the beaches of the Med, in perverse imitation of the Dad's Army opening credits. Then came some hilarious scenes of Germans training to get up at 4.30am to commandeer a sun-lounger, followed by a towel-vs-towel fracas with a Swede.

I voss finding it all sehr funny, although mostly because I couldn't believe their cheek, admitting their beach-occupying tendencies. Probably only did it because they never, ever expected a non-German to be watching German comedy.

* Yeah, OK, so RTL is a Luxembourg channel but the programme was made by and aimed at Germans. I promise you.

Hey, here's a thought: why not pick a fight with Germany? A few insults about Gerhard Schroder's wig and we're off! Bound to get the Poles, etc., pitching in with us, too.

Seriousely, I have a feelin' in me waters that China and the US will lock horn in the near future.

If the economic growth of China continues as per the last ten years, in the next ten it will need all of the worlds supply of oil, all of the worlds supply of coal, and all of the worlds supply of iron ore.

Already construction costs have risen considerably in Europe. Reinforcement bars were not available for months as China had bought the whole of the European stockpile. Inferior Turkish reinforcement was instead used, and much of that was rejected as not conforming to EU standards. The useage of personal motor cars in China is rising exponentially, and will force China to control the oil in or occupy parts of Siberia, Japan and possibly as far south as Indonesia to meet demands.

Can you see GW or even the next few Presidents allowing that to happen?

My advice - learn your NBC drills - you may need them sooner than you think!

Your not the only one, in the early 90's I used to watch most of German satelite channels, especially one that had a Benny Hill type comedy show - the women used to be naked or topless. Strange the other German channels I tended to watch also had naked women in them.

I stopped when I was caught watching Highlander, I didn't realise it was in German (I can't speak German). Interesting idea - learning a foreign language thro porn

Burmas got oil .Unlike cyprus turks might be let into eu so best not invade and didnt the last time we have a war with them they gave us a good stuffing
plus if i cant trust my local kebab shop i will starve. Showing the yanks how to win a land war in south east asia would allow the british army to smugly
condesecend towards the septics for at least another 50 years :)
