Anything less than his bearded, stump-dripping head on a pike, and Obama will be accused of being soft on communism, sorry, the other one, islamism, that's the badger.

Good news if true.

That's a big call, they seem to think the body has been with the US for a week whilst they DNA test it.

Better than captured alive. Can you imagine the number of hostages taken to try to get him back. Plus if he went to Gitmo all the people saying we were violating his human rights.

As of 04:09 this morning the FBI Most Wanted still doesn't recognise him as being wanted for 9/11

FBI — Most Wanted Terrorists

Wonder what'll happen next.. beyond Obama running round like a headless chicken wondering how the **** they can justify further incursions into Pakistan if they've actually bagged Santa. Statement was scheduled for 10:30.. 42 minutes later and the White House still doesn't know what to say?

Al-Qaeda leader Bin Laden 'dead'

Bin Laden is top of the US most wanted list

Al-Qaeda founder and leader Osama Bin Laden is dead, according to US officials.

The US is in possession of Bin Laden's body, the reports say. President Barack Obama is due to make a statement shortly.

He is accused of being behind a number of atrocities, including the attacks on New York and Washington on 11 September 2001.

The al-Qaeda leader was killed in a mansion outside Islamabad in an operation based on actionable US intelligence, CNN reported.

talking about it now on BBC 5 Live

If true, I wonder if any of OBL's potential successors will really want to take up the job? Those Hellfires make quite a mess.

I'm really gutted I missed HARDTALK for this.

I've considered the bastard dead for the past decade.

They had Stephen Hadley on and I fancied hearing his opinions.
