Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. possibly a rank or job designation. Supposedly WW2 or thereabouts. Has anyone any idea?

    :help:

    CK

  2. Any idea of service or context?

e.g. Navy: l/s = leading seaman, so might be a job description

Army: o/r = other ranks, so might be a building or function

    etc, etc.

  3. only that it is supposedly Army 4(T)

    :?:

  4. Nearest thing I can think of is ORQMS (Orderly Room Quartermaster Sergeant), aka Chief Clerk. Usually a SSgt or WOII. Can't think of anything with an "L" in it.

    Cheers,
    Cliff.
