Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Whilst out dogging whoops i mean walking my dogs i happened upon a fixed orienteering marker (in the forest south of Woolmer road).
Can anyone shed any light on where i can get a map to do the course?
Is it Mil or Civvy Etc.
    Thanks in advance as always
  2. Longmoor is the home of Army orienteering now and there are a number of fixed courses. If you go to the BAOC website - www.baoc.org.uk you will find details for Allan - he's probably the best guy to email for starters. He will certainly steer you in the right direction. Remember that Longmoor is a mil training area and you need permission to be there...
  3. Cheers Hobgoblin.
