Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Do the public still trust websites that donate a percentage of their sales to Help for Heroes?

I notice there have been occasions when people (May) have been (fraudulently) claiming they have been donating when they have not.

The reason i ask is because i am currently in production of an online shop, the whole purpose of which is to help our forces charities.

Is this still a good idea?

I don't want it to go belly up if there is no public trust or support.

I want to hear your views on this.
  2. It's a grand idea, if you do as you say, and donate some cash to the charities.
  3. One current idea is to ask for a well respected volunteer from arrse to independently vericate that we really are donating to charity, this would either mean that we send the cheque via them or for them to check our sales figures and the amount sent.
