  1. Hey

Ive only just recently joined the T.A and have heard some talk about an operational tour next year to cyprus for 6 months.

Was just wondering some basic details, e.g. hours of work, basic dutys, how much leave etc.

    Can anyone help?

Why - what is the worst that can happen in the "Operational" environment of Cyprus?

Sunburn? Keo poisoning? Suicide brought on by boredom?

You missed out the trots from a dodgy bacon and halloumi sandwich.

    15 Brandy Sours and a sandwich . .. the sandwich was off . . . .
  7. word of advice since you have "just recently joined the TA".

Firstly your CSM/BSM (or whatever the case maybe) can be quite reluctant to send you simply through inexperience. Its up to him/her for a good part.

Secondly, if you volunteer for a tour of duty, you are then making yourself eligible to go anywhere they need you ie. when you arrive at Chilwell you are not definately going to Cyprus until they tell you.

Sorry about the bad news, good luck anyway
