May be it just highlights that the reserves are now intergrated more fully than before.
If you go back the TA and reserves were always training in the event of something happing now they train to fight along side the regs this is something that the some tend to forget.
It is no longer just playing soldiers this is not a critasisam of any kind i spent 10 yrs with 3 mobilsations in the reserves and was proud of what i done and to served with who i did.

Captain Serena Jane GATES General List, Territorial Army

Whats the General list? Genuine question.

It is a cap badge that is worn almost exclusively by members of the TA. They all tend to be specialists in one way or another and don't really have an appropriate capbage for their role. It is also used to disguise real capbadges .....

Bods that are 'unasigned' to any particular regt/corps IIRC - Kind of like a big fcuk off holding troop.

Flight Lieutenant Michelle Jayne GOODMAN Royal Air Force would you? thread.

As an aside, I noticed in the description of Flt Lt Goodman's act on the MoD website the following comments:

...whilst flying tactically on Night Vision Goggles at very low level across a hostile city...

Perhaps a few of those low flying complainants may wish to reflect on this outstanding act which directly enabled a young soldier's life to be saved. It places into perspective the few seconds of noise that they have to endure as a helo passes over, and illustrates that such military flying skills remain very relevant on modern ops.

Regards,
MM
