Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Who the fcuk are we supposed to send - the ACF?! 8O
  2. Well they'd be about the right height!
  3. We could always ask 2 Sqn(SF) RAf Regiment if they are free
  4. The 1st and 2nd Battalions, The Biffs ;) 63rd Cripple Brigade, 91st Over the Hill Corps perhaps???
  5. Actually, seems a much more morally justifiable mission then, say, then invading Iraq.
  6. The only formations with the structures and the lift capacity are the two Log Bdes. However, it would take weeks to deploy them and all their equipment (assuming that it isn't deployed in Iraqistan), by which time it would be too late. Additionally, if this relief op is enforced as opposed to being requested by the host nation then it would need considerable FP elements to protect the loggies. With our final 'spare' BG about to deploy to Kosovo, it would appear that the cupboard is somewhat bare.

Still, I suppose that they could always mobilise the TA (he said with his tongue very firmly in his cheek)!

  7. Completely clueless about the purpose of Aid? Check.

    Divorced from Military Reality? Check.

Have a gob and unafraid to use it? Check.

Must be a UK Gubmint Minister. :X
