Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Interesting opinion article in Washington Post expressing concern that Obama administration may not be the agents for change that He promised in his campaign.

  2. Hes a professional politician, no more and certainly no less corrupt then any other...but he makes certain electorally decisive segments of american society feel all squishy about themsleves, irrespective of what hes actually accomplishing...
  3. Perhaps. I think, however, the fact that it is newsworthy reflects the difference between his campaign pronouncements and those of previous candidates for the office which either implied or stated directly that he would usher in a government that was not just different in degree but also in kind than those previously. Furthermore, to say He is "no more and certainly no less corrupt then any other [politician]", even if accurate is pretty cold comfort, especially given his roots in Chicago machine politics and his being a disciple of Saul Alinsky.
