Op Coral - Democratic Republic of Congo - 2003

Discussion in 'Sappers' started by plant_life, Feb 23, 2010.

Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. I am after a favour from any Sappers who served on Op Coral. I am doing a degree in construction management and one of the topics is soil stabilisation. I know that a Sqn constructed a tactical landing strip whilst on that op and they had to use soil stabilisation techniques because the ground was so carp. I can not remember what Sqn it was that constructed the landing strip. If anybody has any photos of the task that they would like to share I would be very grateful if you could PM me with them.

    Thanks a lot in advance.
  2. 42 fd sqn from hameln were out there P_L

  4. Thanks a lot. Somebody out there must have some pictures though! I have tried TICRE but no joy.
  5. Hi

I am trying to edit/improve the squadron Histroy document for 42, if you have any pictures from operations or in barracks I would appreciate if you could send me some, at present the document is a little bland and a few more (appropriate) pictures can only be an improvement!
