OP Allowance

Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. I recieved my op allowance in my pay today but it's less than what I expected. I was paid just over 5100 but after working out my days and multiplying by the daily amount I should have had around 5600. Other lads who were due around the same amount as me were paid 5600 ish.

Is this due to the fact I'm still in theatre and my clerk hasn't put in my expected leave date? If so will the rest of it be paid in next months wages or shall I chase this up? I currently have a few weeks left before I finish my tour.

    Thanks in advance!
  2. I was paid in two lumps when I was in a similar position to you. I then got the rest when I got back as they don't have a definitive eot date until you actually take off.
  3. As far a I can remember, the instruction we had when it first came in was that it was to be input so that the bulk of it was to be in the soldiers bank when he returned from ops. The rest was to be paid the following month.
  4. No 2 units are doing it the same. That is the ways 5 SCOTS are running it.
