"Defence rehomes a number of retiring or failed military working dogs each year. Obviously we want good active homes for them from service personnel or the public. The dogs vary in breed - generally gun dogs or a variety of shepherds, aged from 1 to 10 years old. If you would like to apply to rehome one of these dogs please get contact with the DAC Procurement Section on 01664 418615; they will take your details and preferences in order to call you forward into the rehoming process."

  2. Interesting...excuse my ignorance but is there a steady stream of dogs looking for new homes or is it a once in a while occurrence?

  3. I've known a few people get dogs from DAC over the years. The dogs undergo phases of training, fail at any stage is unsuitability.

    Still cracking dogs usually.

  4. Good for keeping the mother In Law away - I'll apply for one now !
